Skowhegan Savings sponsored River Fest 2011 on June 23 – 26, with festivities starting Thursday evening at the South Side Tavern, followed by a weekend of excitement with Outdoor Expo vendors, demonstrations, food and fun family activities. Up-and-coming local vocal talent Rob Burnell opened Friday night’s concerts, followed by well-known country group Emerald Sky. Saturday’s music included the distinctive musical sounds of Ranura, and the powerful rock-and-roll and blues sounds of Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations. Despite the rain throughout the weekend, those who attended were spirited and festive!
